Nakamura Sensei began his martial arts journey in 1980, initially training in Judo during his university years, where he studied law and teaching. He later transitioned fully to Goju-Ryu Karate under the guidance of Shuichi Aragaki Sensei, who was the last surviving direct student of Chojun Miyagi Sensei, the founder of Goju-Ryu Karate.
In 2012, after decades of intense training and dedication, Nakamura Sensei was appointed World Chief Instructor of IOGKF by Master Morio Higaonna. Since then, he has worked tirelessly to uphold and further the legacy of traditional Goju-Ryu. His teaching emphasizes strong fundamentals, deep understanding of kata (forms), practical self-defense application, and the spirit of budo (the martial way).
Nakamura Sensei continues to travel extensively, teaching seminars and training camps all over the world, inspiring thousands of martial artists to deepen their practice and understanding of Goju-Ryu. His approachable teaching style, technical excellence, and deep respect for the traditions of Okinawan Karate make him one of the most respected leaders in the martial arts community today.
